Kristi Pursell has been named Executive Director of the Cannon River Watershed Partnership (CRWP). CRWP is an environmental non-profit based in Northfield that is dedicated to engaging people in protecting and improving the water quality and natural systems of the Cannon River Watershed.
“The CRWP Board of Directors is thrilled that Kristi Pursell will continue running CRWP,” said CRWP Board of Directors Chairperson Melissa King. “Pursell has the experience and skills we need as CRWP creates new approaches and builds new partnerships with farmers, conservation groups, and other citizens to clean up the rivers, lakes, and drinking water in the Cannon River Watershed.”
Pursell had been serving as the Interim Executive Director for the past year. Before that, she had served as the Community Engagement Coordinator for CRWP, joining the organization in 2015. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, with a degree in English and Environmental Studies. Her background is in environmental education and nonprofit work. Pursell and her husband own and operate a small farm near Northfield.
“I am truly honored and look forward to continuing our efforts to work together for cleaner water and healthier communities,” said Pursell as she accepted the position.
