Rain barrel assembly
Conserve water, reduce runoff, water your garden for free! You can do all these things with a rain barrel. CRWP is once again hosting our rain barrel workshops. Join us for an engaging information session and assemble a rain barrel.
We are reducing waste by reusing 55-gallon plastic barrels that have been used in food production. A list of dates, locations and registration information can be found on the calendar on the right side of this page.
CRWP has developed the following to help you install and decorate your barrels.

Northfield property owners are eligible for a $20 rebate from the City of Northfield when you purchase and intall a rain barrel. For more information, see the City of Northfield’s Rain Garden/Rain Barrels page.
Owatonna residents are eligible for a $10 rebate when you purchase and install a rain barrel. For more information click here.
2013 Rain Barrel Workshops
April 20th – Transition Northfield Earth Day Celebration.
1 PM – 2 PM – First UCC Church, 300 Union Street, Northfield, MN 55057.

April 30th – 7 – 8 PM - Northfield Community Resource Center, 1651 Jefferson Pkwy, Northfield, MN 55057. Room 225. Register through Northfield Community Services Class #3275-W13A, Cost is $45.
May 7th – 7 – 8 PM - Red Wing High School, 2451 Eagle Ridge Drive, Red Wing, MN 55006. Enter through door 10. J1-Pod, L100. Register through Red Wing Community Education. Class is under Adult Enrichment, then search for keyword rain barrel. Cost is $45.
May 22nd – 6 – 7 PM - Roosevelt School, 122 E. McKinley St., Owatonna, MN 55060. Register through Owatonna Community Ed. Cost is $ 50.
June 3rd – 7 – 8 PM - Washington Center, 117 Shumway Avenue, Faribault, MN 55021. Register through the Faribault Community Center, by phone at 507-334-2064 with a credit card, or online. Cost is $50.
Can’t make a workshop? No problem. CRWP has rain barrels available to purchase for $50 plus tax. The rain barrels are 55-gallon recycled plastic barrels, available in both blue and white. Please contact Leslie at 507-786-3915 or leslie@crwp.net to purchase a rain barrel and to arrange delivery/pickup.
